Learn about the natural world with trails, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts using natural materials, and a host of outdoor games. | "The largest international arts fest in England" Time Out Brighton Festival has always been a leader in its field ever since its first year in 1967, which featured performances by Lawrence Olivier, Anthony Hopkins and Yehudi Menuhin. The Festival’s mission statement, set out by then Artistic Director Ian Hunter, is as appropriate today as it was then: “The aim of the Brighton Festival is to stimulate townsfolk and visitors into taking a new look at the arts and to give them the opportunity to assess developments in the field of culture where the serious and the apparently flippant ride side by side.” |
